Welcome Schools!

2025/2026 saw Essex County Hockey Association reaching the end of their first year with a new Pitchero website. The focus had been on giving the parents and coaches a platform to run assessment sessions for 350 boys and girls trying out for the U13-U17 Essex Squads. And the feedback has been great!

BUT

We knew that we needed something to support the schools for the County rounds of the competitions as well so we set about looking for a solution.

The result is a 'Schools' team within our teams section and we are hoping that more PE Teachers/School Hockey Co-ordinators register with us so that they don't miss out on Schools related competitions info.

In the last week, Essex have hosted the Girls U18, U16 & U14 County Rounds of the EH Vase, where winners go onto the regional tournaments.

• Chigwell School, Coopers Coborn & Newhall School took part in U18 with Newhall winning.
• Chelmsford County High School, Coopers Coborn & Gosfield School took part in U16 with Chelmsford CHS winning.
• Bancroft School, Brentwood School, Chelmsford County High School, Chigwell School, Coopers Coborn, Gosfield School & Newhall School took part in U14 with Brentwood winning.

And in the next week we have the U13, U12 & U11 In2 Hockey County rounds where
Bancroft School, Brentwood School, Chelmsford County High School, Chigwell School, Coopers Coborn, Elm Green School, Felsted School, Gosfield School & Maldon Court, Newhall School will be participating.

Closer to Christmas we will have the County Schools Indoor competitions and then after Christmas the boys EH competitions.

All the matches are logged with times and dates and locations and the tables re also visible.

We hope this makes the Essex competitions for schools easier to access for everyone - please share among your teaching friends!
